“My paintings explore the theme of identity and how it is shaped by factors such as migration, cultural heritage, and personal beliefs. I believe that the stories of individuals are unique and should be told by themselves rather than others. Through my art, I am able to express my personal experiences and perspectives, creating a visual representation of my story. Growing up in a multicultural family, I have always been fascinated by the concept of identity and how different cultures and experiences can shape a person’s sense of self. As I immigrated to a new country and adapted to a new culture, I was faced with the challenge of defining my own identity. Through my paintings, I explore this journey of self-discovery and the impact of migration on one’s identity. Cultural heritage also plays a significant role in shaping one’s identity. In my paintings, I often incorporate symbols and imagery that reflect my cultural background and traditions. These elements serve as a reminder of my roots and help me stay connected to my heritage. Furthermore, my personal beliefs and values also influence my artwork. I use my paintings as a means of self-expression, conveying my thoughts and emotions on various issues that are important to me. It is through my art that I am able to share my perspectives and start conversations about important social and cultural topics.”
